Lean Showcase at IMTS 2008

LEWISTON, MAINE, JULY 9, 2008 -- Diamond Phoenix will be exhibiting equipment and concepts designed to help manufacturers minimize overhead costs while maximizing throughput at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) 2008 held September 8 – 13 at the McCormick Center in Chicago, IL. Lean manufacturing or lean production is the given name for best ways of producing products through the reduction of non-value added steps, eliminating waste where it is found, and improving work flow throughout an operation.

The exhibit will educate visitors about the company’s full suite of lean manufacturing and warehousing technologies, including the POWERdepot™ Vertical Carousel for parts and items; the Diamond Phoenix Horizontal Carousel for high throughput order fulfillment and progressive assembly; and the PicDepot™ Work Cell Supply Center.
