Automated Yogurt: Müller case

System Logistics has been elected for the realization of a new automated warehousing and material handling system for Müller Group, a company comprising numerous strong brands in the dairy, active worldwide with 24.000 employees and a turnover of over 6 billion Euro.

Following the necessity to enlarge the manufacturing capacity, the efficiency and the storage capacity, Müller family made a significant capital investment in its recently acquired Yogurt Plant in Telford, UK.

The solution engineered and supplied by System Logistics handles and stocks two different kinds of pallets and the full range of raw materials and finished products of different shape and size (containers, bulk bags, stacks of empty pallets, packaging material, etc.), with a throughput of 300 pallets/hour OUT.

The High Bay Warehouse for raw materials, 30 meters high in single and double depth, is served by 3 stacker cranes for a total capacity of 4.536 pallet positions, 3 AGVs (C Mini), an SVL (System Vehicle loop) with 15 shuttles.
