A new automated storage system for Agros Nova (Maspex Group)

A new automated storage system for Agros Nova (Maspex Group)

Agros Nova, specialises in fruit jam and processed vegetable products, produces several well-known brands on the Polish market.

Since 2015 it has been part of the Maspex Group, a leader in the market for fruit juices, nectars and beverages, pasta, jams and sauces in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Lithuania and Latvia.

Agros Nova decided to increase its production capacity, thus implementing intralogistic activities inside its plant in Lowicz, Poland, for which it chose a solution entirely designed, built and put into operation by System Logistics.

The system consists of a self-supporting automated warehouse with a capacity of 38,962 pallet positions and equipped with 11 stacker cranes capable of handling two pallets at the same time at single depth.

The infeed of material to the warehouse is ensured by a direct link with production, with an additional infeed specifically for incoming products from other production sites, for an hourly flow of up to 275 pallets.

To make order preparation efficient and thus meet market requests, a specific picking area connected directly with the warehouse is operating. The area features an SVL loop in which 24 shuttles serve the automatic palletizing stations that allow semi-automatic picking.

The system is completed with an automated shipping area able to ship over 260 pallets per hour.
