A NEW BLOCK STORAGE SYSTEM FOR PLZENSKY PRAZDROJ A.S. - MEMBER OF ASAHI BREWERIES EUROPE GROUP

System Logistics has recently installed a new and innovative intralogistics solution for Asahi’s plant in Nosovice /Czech Republic.

In order to satisfy the necessity of the customer to optimize material handling activities, Asahi chose System Logistics who designed, produced and installed a block storage system for crates RGB-cans-PET-kegs/pallets. It is composed of 16 counterbalanced AGVs Maxi with single and double forks for a total capacity of 11.000 pallet locations and a throughput of 3.900/3.900 IN/OUT pallets/day.

The AGVs retrieve goods from internal and external (docking stations) production, and the pallets are then carried to the block storage, to the single depth racks and to the picking area.

Once they are ready for shipment, they are transported to the primary or secondary distribution docking stations or to the side loading trucks.

The WMS Systore, property software of System Logistics, is able to manage the whole process including picking and block storage mapping.

This special block storage system can ensure to the customer total flexibility and scalability requiring contained building height and moderate costs.
