Maspex confirms System Logistics as a logistics partner with the construction of two automated warehousing systems for Lubella (Lublin) and Timbark (Olsztinek), in further confirmation of the industrial development of the Maspex Group, which this year once again recorded impressive growth in turnover.
As scheduled, the next few months will see the installation of the new warehouse systems supplied by System Logistics. Lubella, a manufacturer of pasta, cereals, flour and snacks, will be installing an automated warehouse with a capacity of 26,000 pallet locations. The system will connect the two production areas directly to the warehouse, with internal handling equipment. The goods will be handled inside the warehouse by 8 stacker cranes and 14 SVL shuttles. The area will use an FRS type buffer storage system for 1,292 pallets, while picking will be handled by a PPS system.
Polish manufacturer Tymbark's Olsztinek plant, which produces soft drinks, multi-vitamin drinks and tea, will contain an automated warehouse served by 11 stacker cranes, with a total capacity of 30,000 pallet locations, and 22 SVL shuttles. The system will connect the two production areas directly to the warehouse, with two internal handling systems. Shipments will be prepared by an automated PPS system using the "goods to man" box picking logic.
