LOFBERGS: A NEW REFERENCE IN SCANDINAVIA

The installation of the automated finished product and raw material storage system for the Lofbergs’ new logistics centre in Karlstad has started.
 
The automatic warehouse will be used for the storage and shipment of finished products and packaging material, with the aim of optimizing storage spaces maximizing warehousing capacity, ensuring a high degree of efficiency for all activities connected to the warehouse area and improvement in quality and speed of the service. 

The solution is mainly composed of 5 areas: Automatic warehouse, Pallet sortation system, Automatic loading/unloading bay, shipping lanes and picking area.

The system includes a self-cladding High-bay racking system, 3 stacker cranes double depth storage 26 m high, 26 longitudinal bays on 14 Levels, an SVL loop with 4 shuttles to link the HBWH to inbound/outbound lanes and picking area, infeed and shipping bays, and 2 goods-to-man picking bays, for a net total capacity of 13.104 pallets
