System Logistics fully automated warehouse for Coca-Cola HBC Group newly opened in Prague

System Logistics fully automated warehouse for Coca-Cola HBC Group newly opened in Prague

On Wednesday, October 6, 2021 the ceremonial opening of the Coca-Cola HBC automated warehouse took place. System Logistics was invited to take part to the event among the main representatives and the deputy mayor of the Prague 14 – Kyje district.

After an interesting overview about the project, an investment of almost half a billion crowns, there was a special focus on the automated warehouse, completely designed and installed by System Logistics to meet functionality and flow requirements. This is a new automated storage system with 9 stacker cranes for a total capacity of 21,168 pallet slots, 2 SVL loops with 22 shuttles distributed on two levels for the connection between the production and the warehouse, and the warehouse to the shipping lines, that can prepare up to 10 trucks per hour.

The integration of the new warehouse with the new Krones bottling lines, where we can handle up to 100 pallets/h, has made the site highly functional, and fully able to meet customer’s needs.

This system is suitable for a further expansion necessity, confirming a partnership meant to go on in the coming years.

The program also included a guided tour which gave media representatives the opportunity to see all the technologies working in this new system.
